BINTULU: A lorry laden with plywood caught fire at Jalan Sungai Sebatang here yesterday.

According to the fire operation commander, 20 per cent of the plywood were burnt in the 10.15am incident.

A team of eight firefighters from Bintulu fire and rescue station (Bomba) led by PBK II Helman Main managed to control the fire around 10.30am.

No casualty was reported as the lorry driver escaped unharmed.

The cause of fire is still under investigation.
