SIBU: State-level Entrepreneurship and Small-Medium-Enterprise (SME) Week 2019 targets the involvement of more than 1,000 SME entrepreneurs throughout the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said the programme will benefit local SMEs, particularly micro entrepreneurs, who will be exhibiting their products.

“Visitors will be interested in these products,” he said in his text of speech that was read by his representative, Entrepreneur and Small, Medium Enterprise Development Assistant Minister Datuk Naroden Majais at the State-level Entrepreneurship and Small-Medium-Enterprise (SME) Week 2019 held at Taman Harmoni, Sibu on Saturday.

More than 100 entrepreneurs from throughout the state, consisting of youth, women and several leading entrepreneurs are showcasing their products in this Sibu series.

Visitors will be able to obtain the latest information on assistance available to SMEs at an information counter manned by the ministry and agencies that are involved in SME development in the state.

The programme, organised at Taman Harmoni here by SME Corp Malaysia, Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development (MED) in collaboration with the state’s Industrial and Entrepreneurship Development (MIED), ends later today.
