SIBU: The Sarawak E-commerce Association of Sibu has donated protective clothing to the frontliners of Sibu Hospital.

The donation was presented by its chairman Chew Hoe Lee to Sibu Hospital acting director Dr Mohammad Ng Siah Huat in a brief ceremony held at Sibu Hospital yesterday.

Some 100 pieces of protective clothing were donated to the hospital.

Chew said the donation was an act of charity from his association to show moral support to the staff.

“It is hoped that the contribution will be able to provide comfort to the staff as they carry out their duties.

“Our association understands the difficulties and hardships they face.

“We pray that those on duty will be able to take good care of them and always keep safety in mind,” he added.

Meanwhile, Mohammad thanked the association for the donation, saying:  “This is a good effort by a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that is always supportive of our work.
