DALAT: Some 100 recipients here received Sejambak Kasih Krismas aid in conjunction with the coming Christmas celebration today.
They were among a total 850 recipients of the Welfare Department monthly aid in Dalat.
Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah handed over the aid at the Sejamabak Kasih Krismas ceremony at Stadium Perpaduan Dalat.
The Dalat assemblywoman also handed over compassionate aid to five next-of-kins of Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) holders who had passed away, besides handing over a wheelchair to a recipient.
The event, which was organised by the Sarawak Welfare Department, was also attended by Mukah district officer Kueh Lei Poh and Pemanca Peter Lai Sakul.
