KUCHING: A total of 1,000 individuals have been vaccinated at the Sematan vaccination centre (PPV).
Sematan Health Clinic medical officer Dr Sheril Anatasya Iskandar said the PPV has been operating since three weeks ago.
“More than 350 residents of Sematan are targeted (per week) to receive the vaccine,” she said while briefing Tanjung Datu assemblywoman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu during the latter’s visit to the PPV on Saturday (June 26).
Meanwhile, Sematan sub-district community leader Jumahdi Sabian said residents of four villages have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on Saturday (June 26).
He also called upon the people residing in Sematan to register for the vaccination if they have not done so.
“This is to ensure that the Sematan sub-district can achieve herd immunity according to the set time,” he said.
He added that residents can register for the vaccination through the MySejahtera app or their community leaders.
