KUCHING: About 1,000 runners took part in the Wisdom Run 2.0 yesterday at Kuching South City Council (MBKS) foyer.
The run, themed ‘Harmony Among Races’, was divided into two categories ― 10KM and 3KM ― and was flagged-off at 6am.
Present at the flagging off ceremony were Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian and MBKS mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng.
The run was organised in conjunction with the Winter Solstice (Dongzhi) Festival.
The objective of the run was to raise funds for the development of the San Seng Tong Centre of Buddhism Culture and Education as well as to promote healthy and positive mentality lifestyle.
