SIBU: A total of 69 senior citizens and single mothers as well as 40 orphans received contribution from Association of Malay Importers and Traders of Vehicles (Pekema) Sarawak branch.
Assistant Minister of Education and Technological Research Dr Annuar Rapaee officiated at the event.
The event aimed to help ease the burden for those in need in conjunction with the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Presentation of the contributions was held at Surau Darul Jannah, Kampung Datu Baru last weekend.
President of Pekema Sarawak branch Dato Sri Abang Khalid Tan Sri Abang Marzuki and his wife Datin Sri Lily Johari and chairman of Surau Darul Jannah Haji Hamdan Jaiee were among those present.
