BINTULU: Eleven nurseries (Taska) and kindergartens (Tadika) here received donations of temperature scanners from the Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) cum Jepak assemblyman Datuk Talib Zulpilip.

The items were given to Permata Kasih Taman Li-Hua, Taska Penyayang Mama at Taman Bukit Orang, Tadika Bestari Kampung Baru, Teacher Zu’s Place, Taska Cahaya Mata Koperasi UPM Bintulu, Tadika Anakku, My Little House Play School Sample Park, Tadika Montessori Port in Sepait, Little Khalifa Childcare, Little Caliphs Bintulu and Tadika Hikmah Bintulu.

Bintulu Early Childhood Association (PAKB) chairperson Maraini Jaafar said the contribution was to facilitate nurseries and kindergartens to carry out body temperature checks in compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the authorities.

“The donation of the equipment can help us (nursery and kindergarten) comply with the SOPs so that the caregiver takes the child’s temperature before being allowed into the classroom,” she said at the Self-Reflection Programme: Integrity Begins at Early Age today.
