11 Sarawak MPs appointed to federal posts

KUCHING: Nine MPs from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and two former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) MPs have been selected to be in Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s newly formed federal Cabinet.

Their appointments and portfolios as announced by Muhyiddin himself yesterday are as follows:

1. Petra Jaya MP Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof (PBB) is Senior Minister of Public Works. He served as Works Minister between 2013 and 2018 when Barisan Nasional (BN) was in power.

2. Mukah MP Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib (PBB) is Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs).

3. Limbang MP Hasbi Habibollah (PBB) — Deputy Minister of Transport.

4. Lawas MP Datuk Henry Sum Agong (PBB) — Second Deputy Minister of Rural Development.

5. Kapit MP Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi (PBB) —Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs.

6. Santubong MP Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar (PBB) — Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development.

7. Batang Sadong MP Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri (PBB) — Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

8. Kanowit MP Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang (PRS) — Second Deputy Minister of Health.

9. Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing (PDP) — Deputy Minister of National Unity (newly formed ministry).

10. Saratok MP Ali Biju (Independent) — Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.

11. Puncak Borneo MP Willie Mongin (Independent) — Second Deputy Minister of Plantations Industries and Commodities.
