BETONG: Residents of a house at Kampung Tengah here had an early morning shock after a 12-foot-long python paid them a surprise visit.
Betong Civil Defence Force (APM) officer Desem Samuel confirmed that the operations centre received a distress call at 9.25am on Tuesday (April 19) regarding the presence of the reptile in the ceiling.
A three-man team was mobilised to the scene to remove the python using special equipment.
It took them about half an hour to catch the snake, which was successfully removed from the ceiling of the bathroom.
The operation ended around 10.15am. The reptile was later released back to its original habitat far from the residential area.
