KUCHING: A total of 1,200 people from Pusa were vaccinated during the three-day mobile vaccination centre (PPV) inoculation programme at Ar-Rayyan Mosque, Kampung Tuie in Betong.

Saribas assemblyman Mohammad Razi Sitam said the programme, which ended on Sunday (July 4), involved residents from five nearby villages.

They are Kampung Serabang, Kampung Tuie, Kampung Supa, Kampung Medang and Kampung Manggut.

“The programme has been previously conducted in Debak where a total of 2,424 vaccine doses were administered.

“Meanwhile, other residents under the Saribas constituency will be vaccinated at Dewan Panglima Rentap and Spaoh Multipurpose Hall,” he said when met after visiting the mobile PPV on Saturday (July 3) to monitor the progress of the vaccine rollout.

Mohammad Razi also called upon those who have yet to register for vaccination to do so immediately via the MySejahtera app.

He urged villagers who have movement difficulties or senior citizens who are sick at home to seek advice from health experts or doctors at their respective places.

Meanwhile, Beladin clinic head Dr Stephen Jeshua Manuel said the PPV will be operating for four days to administer the first dose of the Sinovac vaccines to residents in the area.

He added that 28 staff from the Health Ministry including 30 volunteers were assigned at the centre.
