MARUDI: The Welfare Department (JKM) and Marudi fire and rescue station are delivering a total of 1,253 packs of dry food to the flood-affected areas in the district.
The distribution started yesterday (Monday) and will continue today.
Marudi fire station chief Maureen Sim, said that the relief aid will greatly benefit the families in 19 areas impacted by the floods.
To transport the supplies, they are using a double-decker vessel named Bandung, which will navigate through the floodwaters.

Kampung Tumau: 32 packs
Tuai Rumah Jipun, Tanjung Upar: 32 packs
Tuai Rumah Vincent, Tanjung Upar: 68 packs
Tuai Rumah Philip, Tanjung Upar: 52 packs
Rumai Rumah Gerinang Logan Tasong: 22 packs
Long Maro: 128 packs
Lubuk Kulat: 4 packs
Kampung Benawa: 108 packs
Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Benawa: 18 packs
Kuala Tutoh: 152 packs
Linei Bukit: 129 packs
Long Patan: 24 packs
Long Pahlo: 17 packs
Long Unuk: 19 packs
Long Panai clinic: 6 packs
Long Panai: 396 packs
SK Long Panai: 9 packs
SMK Tutoh: 26 packs
SK Penghulu Baya Mallang: 11 packs
Sim also said this operation to deliver food aid is being carried out with the assistance of the Civil Defence Force (APM) and the People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA).
