SIBU: A 13-year-old boy was among five individuals arrested by the police on suspicion of being involved in a fight that happened in Jalan Tong Sang here at 4.55pm on Tuesday (Sept 8).

Sibu district police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit confirmed the arrests in a statement today.

The boy is no longer schooling. He and a teenage girlfriend and four men aged between 24 and 27 were believed to be drunk at the time.

A fight broke out after an argument between two of the five suspects.

“Two of the male suspects were lying on the street when police arrived at the scene after being informed by the public.

“One of them suffered injuries to his face, neck and limbs while the other suffered injuries to his right forehead and forearm,” said ACP Stanley.

The injured suspects were later taken to Sibu Hospital.

Police also confiscated a stick used by one of the suspects during the fight.
