There was an encouraging response to the outreach programme and 99 percent of the villagers have been inoculated. However, there are still some who refuse to be vaccinated.

On July 17, the response from the villagers was positive during the administration of the first dose of the vaccine.

The outreach programme continued on Sunday (Aug 8) at Kampung Sapit, Padawan, which involved 100 second-dose recipients.

Also present were Kuching Division Resident and Kuching Divisional Disaster Management Committee Sherrina Husaini, National Security Council Sarawak director Sophian Isswandy Ismail, Braang Bayur Health Clinic medical officer Dr Syed Tawfiq, Sarawak River Board controller Lt Col Ding Tiew Wong and Padawan Sub-District Office state administration officer Julius Scott Sapong.
