MIRI: Compounds totalling RM500 were issued to 14 business operators by Miri City Council during an operation for illegally displaying their goods, chairs and tables at the five-foot way and parking lots.
Miri City Council in a statement said, the compounds were issued yesterday morning during an operation to deal with violation of the Cleanliness ByLaw Section 18.
A total 17 of the City’s enforcement officers were involved in the operation that lasted three hours which started at 9 am.
Amongst business premises inspected were car wash, workshops and food premises. The Council strongly reminded business operators to abide by its rules and regulations as stated in their permits.
