LUNDU: The Regatta Batang Kayan Lundu Festival 2022 is scheduled to be held from Sept 23-25 here.

Tanjung Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan stated that about 14 teams will be competing in the event.

“And we have received entries from Kuching, Simunjan, Sri Aman, and Belaga to name a few,” he said.

He added that previous teams such as Landas and Puteri Kilat will also be joining the fray.

“Usually, teams that participated in this competition have used it as a warming up for the upcoming Sarawak Regatta which will be held this coming November,” he added.

In the meantime, he also announced that during the event, there will be more attractions for visitors.

“There will be a concert as well, with performances from Ricky El, Jay Jay, Iwan Dasri and many more, alongside food and drink stalls through the event,” he said.

He expects about 10,000 visitors to throng the three-day festival.
