KUCHING: One hundred and forty-five people in Pa’ Dalih, Bario and Miri have be tested negative for Covid-19, said State Disaster Management Committee chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

He said the Covid-19 tests were conducted after the Sepang District Health Office reported one positive case in Selangor had a history of travelling to Pa’ Dalih.

“Samples were taken from 117 residents from Kampung Pa’Dalih, eight family members and 20 social contracts.

“The test results, fortunately, were negative. There are no cases awaiting lab test results,” he said when asked on the latest update on the Pa’ Dalih positive Covid-19 patient who flew from Miri to Selangor last Friday.

Thanking the State Health Department and Bomba on the successful tracing operation, Uggah added that the source of infection is still under investigation

“SDMC would like to thank the health department and Bomba for springing into action and ensuring the social contracts were screened for Covid-19.
