ASAJAYA: As many as 147 recipients received their respective grant cheques for Minor Rural Projects (MRP) at Tan Sri Datuk Amar Ikhwan Zaini hall, Asajaya District office here today (Dec 7).

Asajaya assemblyman, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah in his Facebook post said that for the MRP 2022 grant under his constituency, RM2,799,620 had been handed over to its recipients under several categories.

“Apart for 30 recipients under the diverse category, the other categories are churches (six recipients), parents and teachers associations or PIBG (42 recipients), mosques (33 recipients and Villages Safety and Development Committee or JKKK (39 recipients),” he said.

He added that the grant allocation was to assist the respective recipients to organise various committees’ programmes, charities, and activities.

“In my speech, I reminded the residents in my constituency to use the allocated grant wisely, as the state government has always been prioritising rural development including the communities in Asajaya district,” he added.
