15 longhouses under EMCO

KUCHING: The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) had declared the enforcement of enhanced movement control order (EMCO) on 15 longhouses.

The committee announced today (June 18) the enforcement of the EMCO on three longhouses — Rumah (Rh) Jau Dungau, Long Seripa, Tubau in Sebauh and two in Sri Aman; Rh Marphy, Selanjang Sebemban Asal, Pantu and Rh Kilon, Sebu Ulu, Tanjung Bijat which started Thursday until June 30.

Meanwhile another 11 longhouses in Matu and Meradong were put under EMCO from June 18 to July 1.

The longhouses at Batang Igan in Matu are Rh Salim Unang, Sungai Rassau; Rh Judy Kudi, Sungai Rassau; Rh Mathew Merang, Sungai Rassau; Rh Daggang Ujang, Sungai Rassau; Rh Lait Ijang, Sungai Rassau; Rh Chandi Kilau, Sungai Rassau; Rh Putit Jugah, Sungai Rassau; Rh Sadin Jeli, Sungai Rassau; and Rh Mador Rendah, Sungai Rassau.

Whereas for Meradong, the two longhouses are Rh Minggu, Sungai Kotak and Rh Masni, Skim B.

However, Rh Miskin, Batu 131/2, Jalan Oya will undergo its EMCO from Sunday (June 20) to June 3.

Meanwhile, the SDMC had also announced the extension of EMCO at the Kem Gabong Trading Sdn Bhd workers’ quarters in Tatau and Rh Unya Jambu Arap Skrang in Sri Aman until June 24.

As of Thursday, Rh Morse Ungkak, Lubuk Pass Teluk Batu; Rh Michael Junus Rekan, Rantau Aur Nanga Tekalit in Tatau; Rh Chalie Mbo, Sungai Sawa, Jalan Ulu Spur; and Rumah Sewa (Sebelah Kedai MDS Mart) Samalaju had ended their EMCO.

The committee also noted the end of EMCO on the Rich Drive workers’ quarters in Bintulu; Rh Jack, Lichok, Seblak Roban in Betong; Rh Nawin, Sg Oyan in Bukit Mabong; Rh Tuntun Seduku, Lingga in Sri Aman; and Malaysia WCT Construction Sdn Bhd workers’ quarters in Tatau today.

On Sunday (June 20), Rh Anthony Jigu, Sungai Buloh in Selangau; and Rh Menari, Sungai Durin in Sibu will end their EMCO.
