150 people attend education session on HFMD and rabies

LUNDU: The District Health Office (PKD) Lundu is taking immediate measures to prevent the spread of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) and rabies here.

According to a news report from the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), 150 people from 12 primary and secondary school institutions here recently attended the Townhall Tour to Strengthen Health Education on HFMD and Rabies at SK Bumiputera. They comprised parents, teachers, government and private kindergarten operators.

The session was jointly organised by PKD Lundu and Lundu District Education Office.

Lundu District Health Officer, Dr Nicky Aurellius Tennent said at the event, a demonstration of washing hands in a proper manner.
