MIRI: A total 16 individuals here were nabbed for various offences during the ‘Ops Bersepadu Hari Raya Aidilfitri’ and ‘Ops Kesan’.
According to Miri police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu in a statement today, the ten-day operation, which ended last Sunday, apprehended persons aged 28 to 67.
“During the operations, 43 police personnel of various ranks inspected a total of 327 individuals, 226 vehicles as well as 296 premises,” he added.
On another note, Alexson said the division’s violent and property crime cases decreased by 87 per cent this year compared to the previous year.
As for the crime solving rate, he said it has increased by 93 per cent this year.
