KUCHING: A total of 16 babies were born at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) on Malaysia Day yesterday as at 1.30pm — seven girls and nine boys.

Cats FM along with Mydin Petra Jaya and invited artistes such as K-Clique, The Crew and Ryan Deedat yesterday visited the newborns at SGH in conjunction with Malaysia Day, presenting contributions as well as donations from Mydin Petra Jaya Supermarket.

Mydin Petra Jaya branch manager Rethnasamy Naidu Krishnan stated that the programme was Mydin’s first and he hoped that such programmes would continue to be held every year to remind people of Malaysia’s history.
