KUCHING: A total of 16 organisations received the Mini Convention on Team Excellence (MTEX) Award for Sarawak Division today during a ceremony at a local hotel.
Entrepreneur and Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) Development Assistant Minister Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais officiated at the closing ceremony of the function that was attended by 100 persons from the private sector, government sector, and industrial sector.
In his speech, Naroden said the implementation of the Industrial 4.0 Revolution by the government was a way forward for technological innovations in the manufacturing of products and services.
“I believe that a dynamic strategic approach should be implemented to control and evaluate the progress of various efforts, especially the productivity of the ministries, agencies and industries,” he said.
“In order to achieve a higher level of productivity, we need to break the barriers that interfere with the two stages of macroeconomics and microeconomics.”
Naroden also said that there were no other formulas that could pave the way forward other than what was being implemented now.
“There are 43 initiatives aimed at increasing the productivity of an organisation through sectorial stages which will be implemented through the nine Nexus Productivity. This initiative will be a factor in pushing the productivity level,” he said.
Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) regional manager for Sarawak Waila Mohd Nasir, MPC headquarters manager Sabri Hassan, and representatives from Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas), Tun Abdul Razak Teachers Training Institute, Department of Irrigation and Drainage Labuan and Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) were among those who attended the function.
