ISKANDAR PUTERI: Sixteen local and international martial arts exponents will slug it out for two titles at the EduCity Kombat League 2018 (ECL 2018) on Dec 29 here.
Among the big names vying for the two crowns – Iskandar Puteri Mayor Belt and EduCity Belt – are mixed martial arts (MMA) ace Jihir Radzuan of Johor; national judo black belt holder and MIMMA5 middleweight champion Mohd Fakhrul Izzat Affandi and Palestine MMA exponent Don Sulaiman.
Boxxtomoi Asia project director Musaddik Zainuddin said the championships, organised by EduCity Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd, would also feature judo, MMA, boxing and silat exponents from other countries like Palestine, Afghanistan, Singapore, Thailand, France and Iran.
“There will be two sessions, with the amateurs competing in MMA, boxing and kick boxing in the morning, while the night session will be for the professional boxing bouts,” he told reporters here yesterday.
Also present were EduCity Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd director Wan Ahmad Saifuddin Wan Ahmad Radzi and three professional pugilists – Jihin, or better known as Shadow Cat; Mohd Fakhrul, known as Mokjudo; and Don Sulaiman.
