KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud yesterday presented state awards and medals to 162 recipients at the Dewan Besar, Astana Negeri in Petrajaya here.
Heading the list of recipients were Dr Nurshaline Pauline Kipli and Lu Yew Hee@Vincent Y.H. Lu who were awarded the Dajah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak (P.B.S.).
Nine other recipients Charles Siaw, Alfian Dawi, Dolhadi Marzuki, Abdul Latif Abdul Karim, Ling Dieng Yong, Richard Ambrose Foo Min Swee, Wan Shaifuddin Wan Madihi, Wong Sie Yong and Kapitan So Teck Kee received Darjah utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K.).
Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B.) and Darjah Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S.) both had 29 recipients while Darjah Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K.) 11 and 48 recipients for Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (P.P.T.).
Darjah Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S.) saw 34 recipients.
Also present to witness the ceremony were Abdul Taib’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib and local dignitaries.
