17 reappointed as Telang Usan community leaders

MIRI: Seventeen community leaders from Telang Usan were reappointed yesterday.

They received their letter of reappointment from Miri Division Resident Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusuf, witnessed by Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau, at the Miri Division Resident’s Office, Sarawak Islamic Complex here.

Those reappointed are Temenggong Elizabeth Deng (Kampung Long Laput), Pemanca Gilbert Ding Laing (Kampung Long Panai), Penghulu Ajang Wan (Kampung Long Liam Keliman), Penghulu Yap Cheng Siang (Pekan Long Lama) and Penghulu Juwin Lehan (Kampung Long Win).

Dennis also presented the letter of appointment to a new Penghulu for the Kenyah community in Tinjar, and three community leaders.

Meanwhile, eight new community leaders were also presented with their letter of appointment.
