17 Tuai Rumah receive appointment letters

KAPIT: Seventeen longhouse village headmen (Tuai Rumah) in Bukit Mabong District recently received their letters of appointment at Kapit Civic Centre here.

The event was held in conjunction with the launching of KPI Booklet For Community Leaders under Bukit Mabong District.

They received their letters of appointment from Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing.

Of the recipients, four were newly appointed Tuai Rumah and they were Dawin Anding, Naga Lubang, Rentap Batang and Janting Bunyau.

Meanwhile, reappointed as Tuai Rumah were Tajai Akon, Saging Nawai, Jimbun Ajai, Eyomous Ngang, Bajai Chenda, Agam Unyat, Joseph Jawah @ Yusof Zawawi, Nisson Bunyau, Samon Chepau, Tangai Ngoi, Seman Japing, Jaweng Jantai and Mungok Mamba.

On hand to witness the simple ceremony were Hulu Rajang MP Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong, Bukit Mabong District Officer Douglas Pungga, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Nicholas Kudi Jantai, Superintendent Land and Survey Kapit Sagu Unting, administrative officers from Bukit Mabong District Office Grace Anyie, Hollis Timbang, Tracy Nyipa and community leaders.
