20 benefit from MRP grants worth RM99k

MIRI: A total of 20 associations, educational and religious bodies in Senadin received minor rural project (MRP) grants amounting to a total of RM99,000.

Saturday’s (Aug 14) disbursed funds benefitted Miri Teachers Day celebration working committee; St Dominic & The Rosary Church; the Diocesan Women’s Fellowship Board; Pertubuhan Amal Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Piasau; Lions Club of Lutong Miri; Persatuan Penganut Buddha Ser Pa Lo Han Miri and Association of Churches in Sarawak Miri Branch.

State’s Minister of Transport and Senadin assemblyman Datuk Lee Kim Shin presented the funds to recipients at a simple ceremony.

Last week, Lee handed over similar fund totalling RM167,000 to 23 voluntary, social and religious bodies.
