20 needy families benefit from help

KUCHING: Twenty needy families and individuals here were given contributions worth RM150 each by Ming Dynasty.

The online direct sale businessman Alvin Chong Chun Min from Ming Dynasty, came together with his team came to Hope Place to hand over the contributions to needy families on Tuesday (Sep 14) as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR), said a press statement.

“These contributions include items like rice, canned food, soaps, detergents and fresh eggs.  Alvin also gave fresh fish to the families.

“The main contributors for these contributions are the customers of Ming Dynasty, who usually give donations for charity purposes when they purchase items from Ming Dynasty,” it said in a statement issued on Tuesday (Sept 15).

Meanwhile, as part of Hope Place’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) during the recovery movement control order (RMCO), they only permited a maximum of five volunteers at one time to join in their charity activities. 

Hope Place would like to give their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the generosity of all these donors.

“It is because of their concern and support that many needy families are able to enjoy some comfort in life,” it added.

Opening hours are from 8.30am – 5.30pm from Mondays till Fridays and 8.30am – 12.30pm on Saturdays. 

Hope Place is currently helping more than 190 families or individuals.  All donations are welcome and receipts will be given upon request.
