
GEDONG: Some 200 beneficiaries from the Gedong constituency received basic food aid and cash assistance under the Program Jelajah Asnaf 2022 held at the Gedong Community Hall on Wednesday (Aug 17).
According to a news report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), the programme was organised by Aiman Group in collaboration with the Gedong Service Centre as one of the company’s initiatives in helping those in need.
It is understood that the targeted asnaf groups consist of the elderly, people with disabilities and needy families.
Gedong District Officer, Abdul Khalid Manap expressed his appreciation to the organisers for choosing Gedong as one of the locations for the donation in easing the burden of the local community here.
Also present were director of Aiman Group Zetty Fazila Mohamad Zailani; Aiman Group advisor Samat Othman; Samarahan Temenggong Geoffery Mamat Kuchai, Pemanca Abang Ronnie Abang Sa’adeli as well as community leaders from Gedong.
