MUKAH: Mohammad Feldarus Abdul Rahman emerged champion in the 10 Km Men’s Open of the N57 Tellian Fun Run 2017 while Tho Siaw Khim was the champion in the 7 Km Women’s Open.
The run began at the Kampung Tellian field, continued to Sungai Genai Bridge and ended at the Kampung Tellian field. Mohammad went home with RM500.00, a medal and a certificate of participation. Meanwhile, Sharul Shafawi Mat Jusoh, who came second, received RM300.00, a medal and a certificate of participation.
Third place winner, Aswari Mustaffa took home RM200.00, a medal and a certificate of participation. Seven other participants of the 10 Km Men’s Open, who captured the fourth until the 10th placings, received RM50.00, a medal and a certificate of participation each. The runners were Hii Yii Puong, Khairul Anuar Sepawi, Justin Juty Chun, Siew Ik Kiong, Dave Ason, Wong Tat King and Mohd. Erfan Mohd. Syafiq.
Tho Siaw Khim, who clocked a time of 29.53 minutes, to win the 7 Km Women’s Open, received RM400.00, a medal and a certificate of participation. Ling Mee Eng, who clocked a time of 31.51 minutes, came second; she received RM250.00, a medal and a certificate of participation.
Joanna Eng, who clocked a time of 32.00 minutes, came third; she went home with RM150.00, a medal and a certificate of participation.
Seven other winners, who were placed fourth to 10th, received RM50.00, a medal and a certificate of participation each. The runners were Christie Pasang, Christina Pasang, Andrea Joseph, Lee Yien Rong, Kong Su Yung, Cheryl Zhee Sheh Erl and Alma Sutai.
The N57 Tellian Fun Run attracted 212 participants who took part in the 7 Km and 10 Km Open as well as the 5 Km (Veteran, Students aged 12 and below and Youth) categories. Tellian State Assemblyman, Yussibnosh Balo launched the run and presented the prizes to the winners at the Kampung Tellian on Sunday.
