MIRI: A total of 24 events will be organised by various organisations, including the 17th Miri City Day and Miri Traditional Costume Parade, on May 20 and 22 respectively, in conjunction with the Miri May Fest celebration.
Miri mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang disclosed this on Monday (April 25) during a meeting. He also unveiled the Miri May Fest logo.
“We want to promote Miri as a tourist destination and also to create an opportunity for Mirians from all walks of life to participate in the festival, which is usually held in May every year to commemorate Miri acquiring city status on May 20, 2005.”
