25 receive sacrificial meat at police HQ

KUCHING: Twenty-five personnel at the Sarawak Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) received sacrificial meat in connection with Hari Raya Aidiladha yesterday.

Sarawak Integrity and Standard Compliance Department chief ACP Roslan Tahir who presented the meat, told that the programme was organised by his department in collaboration with Surau Darul Ibadah committee members.

The programme started as early as 7am with assigning of tasks to the individuals.

“We have about 40 individuals involved in this programme, and all of us are complying with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the guidelines set.

“This year, we have three cows and a goat sacrificed as korban rituals, the cows being donated by Petra Jaya MP Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman and Demak Laut assemblyman Dr Hazland Abang Hipni,” he said.

Roslan was speaking to reporters in midst of the korban ritual programme at Surau Darul Ibadah at Sarawak Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK), Jalan Badruddin on Saturday.

After the slaughter he distributed the sacrificial meat to the recipients who comprised new relatives and the ‘asnaf’ in Sarawak IPK.
