KUCHING: Twenty-five former students of St Joseph Secondary School, here participated in St Joseph 9 Pin Tap Bowling Tournament 2019 at Megalanes EMart Bowling Centre, Batu Kawa here recently.

SJS 1994 emerged the champion in the team event with 1,927 pinfalls.

SJS 1996 with 1,824 pinfalls took the second spot and The Senjos (SJS 2001) with 1,775 pinfalls finished third.

In the individual category, Dominic Liew (Class Of 1994) proved his prowess with 656 pinfalls to emerge champion.

First runner-up was Joel Chung (Class Of 2003) with 546 pinfalls and third was Chester Chong (Class Of 1996) with 546 pinfalls.

Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Sri Prof. Dr Sim Kui Hian, who is the president of Old Josephians Association gave away the prizes.

Sim in his brief speech commended the efforts by the former students of the school for organising the tournament.

He noted that the tournament has been able to gather former students of the school, thus providing opportunities for them to meet each other regularly.
