MUKAH: Twenty-seven students who have been accepted to further their studies or attend training courses within the country received study incentives from Tellian State Constituency Service Centre here on Thursday (Sept 3).

Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo handed over the incentives to the recipients, who are also local residents.

He said some of them had already enrolled at their designated institutions of higher learning (IPT), while others were yet to register.

“The study incentive is to assist them in making certain preparations such getting flight tickets or tickets for express bus,” he said during a simple handover ceremony held at the Tellian State Constituency Service Centre here.

Yussibnosh, who is former Balingian assemblyman added the service centre had been giving away study incentives for the last five years.

He advised the recipients to focus on their studies and be successful in line with their parents’ wishes and hope for their children.
