MIRI: Some 29 passengers who arrived at Miri Airport from Labuan yesterday have already been sent to the quarantine centre.

They are part of the 42 passengers who arrived from Labuan at Miri Airport — 13 were transit passengers.

State Disaster Management Committee chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas conveyed the decision that the quarantine centre at the hotel for passengers arriving at Miri Airport from Malaya, Sabah and Labuan would be continued.

In a press statement, Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin confirmed that all Sarawakians returning from Malaya, Sabah and Labuan would be quarantined for 14-days at the quarantine centre (hotels).

“The committee addressed Mirians’ concern over Sarawakians returning from Malaya, Sabah and Labuan for 14 days at home — with the incidence of two Covid-19 positive patients detected, one returning from Singapore via Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), and another from Malaya recently,” he said in a press statement, yesterday.
