SRI AMAN: A total of 2,927 Native Customary Rights (NCR) land owners received titles to their lands under Section 18 and Section 6 of the Sarawak Land Code from Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
The ceremony held at Lachau, Sri Aman saw three kampungs with a total of 379 residents in the Ulu Sebuyau area receiving letters of ownership under Section 6 of the land code.
Another 2,400 residents of 12 kampungs covering Bayor/Krangan, Balai Ringin and Serian also received similar titles covering a total of 3,600 hectares.
Meanwhile, 148 residents received NCR land titles involving 255.29 hectares and a part of 176 individual lots under Section 18 of the land code.
