KUALA LUMPUR: An earthquake with a 3.0-magnitude on the Richter scale hit the Kunak waters in Sabah at 11.48 pm on Tuesday.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department said in a statement yesterday that the earthquake at a depth of 10 kilometres was reported to have occurred 26 km east of Kunak, Sabah.
The quake did not pose a tsunami threat to Malaysia. – Bernama
