MIRI: Three people were injured in a crash involving two lorries along the Miri coastal road near Bekenu yesterday.
The incident, believed to have occurred around 3pm, involved a lorry trailer and another lorry laden with plywood. As at press time, it is still not immediately known how the accident occurred.
Both lanes heading toward Bintulu and Miri have been closed temporarily for the authorities to clear accident debris. The victims were rushed to Miri Hospital for treatment.
The accident caused a five-km traffic queue along the area.
