KUCHING:

The evening  show  at Riverside Majestic Hotel on Sunday also featured two brands unrelated to fashion, namely,  Borneoskin and Razz Cakes by Marissa Ramsay. It was organised by the Fashion & Lifestyle Entrepreneurs Association (FLSEA)  recently founded by local designers here and graced by Minister of Welfare, Women and Community Wellbeing  Datuk Fatimah Abdullah.

In her speech, Fatimah pointed out  that Sarawak was not short of talents in the fashion world.

“Sarawakians are creative and it comes from our identity. There are no less than 28 different ethnics in the state.

“I urge all fashion designers, old or new, to market themselves online to further spread their ideas and garments to all the consumers worldwide.

“Capitalise on our culture because it is unique and from there on, we must make sure what we produce  are able to make a big impact in the fashion world,” added Fatimah during the fashion show which was themed “White Affair”.
