MIRI: A total of 300 students from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Senadin on Saturday (Aug 28) received free unlimited broadband data package sim cards with 60GB of valid data for 12 months under the ‘Internet Pantas Prihatin’ initiative.

The initiative is to ensure students continue pursuing their online classes from their homes during the movement control order (MCO) due to the Covid-19 pandemic, said the school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) acting chairman Leonard Luhat Laing.

“We want to help lessen the disadvantage of children who are likely to fall behind in their studies during this MCO without access to the internet,” he said.

The initiative was a made by the school’s PTA in collaboration with a telecommunication service provider, namely giving free data for the students to support their online learning as schools remain shut during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“With the current situation and restrictions, students’ ability to continue learning from home is heavily relying on good access to internet connectivity, and this includes the data and devices,” said Luhat.
