KUCHING: About 300 people are expected to take part in the Santubong International Nature Trail Run 2022 this Sunday (Sept 18).
The run is jointly organised by Grit Event Management and Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) with three categories namely 2km, 5km and 15km.
According to Grit, the event aims to promote what Santubong has to offer to trail runners and hikers from the region.
The event is part of Grit Trail Series 2022 that encourage runners and hikers to enjoy the different trails in Sarawak.
“Runners can choose from various distances – from the challenging 15km to the family 2km category. The route provides the runners with a mixture of breath-taking mountainous scenery, a grueling test of fitness with the backdrop of beautiful South China Sea.
“There will be competitive cash prizes available for the 15km and 5km category in both the men’s and women category,” it said.
The race pack can be collected at Samajaya Nature Reserve from 10am to 4pm on Sept 17 and all participants will be given an event tee. All finishers will also be entitled to a finisher medal.
