MUKAH: About 3,000 Catholics attended the Palm Sunday Mass at Sts Peter and Paul Church Mukah here, yesterday morning.
Being one of the main events in the Catholic Calendar, worshippers started arriving at the church at a Jalan Haji Mohd Pauzi here as early as 7.00am.
The Mass started with the blessing of palm fronds by the presiding priest, Rev Fr Joseph Sebastian, inside the church.
However, the tradition of procession of the parishioners carrying palm fronds had to be cancelled due to heavy rain which lasted till noon.
