307 vehicles in S’wak Day convoy to Sarikei

SIBU: United People’s Party (UPP) Community Service Board (Sibu) celebrated Sarawak Day by going from here to Sarikei in a convoy yesterday.

The inaugural convoy organised by UPP Community Service Board (Sibu) was led by chairman of the board, Dato Andrew Wong.

Three hundred and ninety one people took part in the 307-vehicle convoy comprising 200 high powered motorcycles from various motorcycle clubs, 36 four-wheel-drive, 54 Perodua Kenari from Move Kenari Borneo (MKB), three jet skis, luxury and drifts vehicles.

Motorcycle clubs that took part in the convoy were Razz Chopper Malaysia, Speed Riders, Borneo Angel, Jebat Riders, Street Bikers, Borneo Island Big Bike, R2R Community, Rebel Angels, V-Twins and Barong MC.
Speaking to reporters before the convoy left for Sarikei, Wong thanked all the participants who made the event a success.

He also hoped that the participants would enjoy the trip to Sarikei apart from complying with the rules and regulations that have been set.

The convoy was flagged off at an open space near to Kolej Laila Taib (KLT) here before heading to Lanang Bridge and onwards to Sarikei Division.
