BARAM: A total of 31 projects mostly for basic amenities such as village road, women activity centre, multi purpose sport fields and multi purpose hall, drains have been approved by the State Government under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) 2017 in Telang Usan constituency.
Telang Usan state assemblyman Dennis Ngau revealed this at the official launching of a new completed village road at Long Watt Sg Apoh on Sunday.
The project was part of the RTP 2016 list.
Since the State Government under the leadership of the late Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Haji Adenan Bin Haji Satem launched this initiative in 2015, Dennis said various longhouses in Telang Usan constituency had received the much needed basic projects.
Dennis was thankful to the State Government for coming up with development strategy through RTP which especially addressed the various request put up by headmen and committee from rural communities.
Dennis also said that every state constituency under Barisan Nasional , state legislative assemblyman was allocated project worth RM5 million each year since 2015 and this allocation had been utilised to the fullest in Telang Usan.
He assured them the government is trying and doing its utmost best to bring projects for the benefit of the people.
Also present at the event were TK Anyie Avit of Long Watt Kenyah community, TK Taman Philip of Long Watt Kayan community, Nawan Ding , member of PBB Telang Usan and Robert Uyo of PBB Telang Usan Youth Movement.
