KUCHING: Some 312 soldiers participated in a blood donation drive at the Bukavu Hall, Penrissen Camp near here, yesterday.

The event organised by the First Medical Battalion of the Malaysian Armed Forces was meant to help replenish blood stock at the Blood Bank of Sarawak General Hospital.

Besides, it was also a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme for the Malaysian Armed Forces’ Eastern Field Command (EFC) to the local community.

EFC Commander Lieutenant General Datuk Wira Zamrose Mohd Zain also joined in the blood donation drive.

Also present were First Infantry Division Commander Major General Datuk Md Din Abu, 3rd Infantry Brigade Commander Brigade General Mohd Isa Jaafar, EFC Chief of Staff, Brigade General Datuk Kamarol Fauzi Mohd Said and senior officers of the Malaysian Armed Forces.
