KUCHING: A total of 312 individuals underwent screening via reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (rT-PCR) tests under the active case detection (ACD) operation at Galacity here on Oct 26.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said that as of 12pm on Wednesday (Oct 28), all individuals screened were still awaiting laboratory results.

“A total of 110 health officers and frontliners were involved in the operation,” he said at the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) Covid-19 update press conference today.

He expressed gratitude to the agencies involved as well as to the public for their cooperation throughout the ACD operation.

Uggah, who is also SDMC chairman, said that the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) issued six compound notices on Wednesday.

He added that the Ministry of Local Government and Housing on the other hand issued 64 verbal, written, and seizure warnings in areas under the supervision of various local councils.

On Ops Benteng, he said a total of 1,286 vehicles were inspected at six roadblocks in five districts – two in Lawas and one each in Lundu, Bau, Serian, and Sri Aman.
