32 obtain RPEL qualifications from Sarawak Skills

KUCHING: SeDidik Sarawak celebrated the achievement of 32 staff members who successfully completed a range of skills certificate and diploma courses through Sarawak Skills’ Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) programme.

According to a press release by SeDidik Sarawak today, the initiative provides individuals with a platform to demonstrate competencies gained from work, life experiences, and informal learning, thereby enhancing their career prospects and personal growth.

The RPEL programmes stresses the recognition and validation of skills and knowledge acquired through prior experiences.

Acting permanent secretary of the Ministry of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Nur Alina Abdullah, speaking on behalf of Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, said:

“This accomplishment reflects our commitment to providing inclusive and transformative education that recognises the diverse talents and experiences of our staff members.”

“The graduation of 32 staff members from the RPEL programme exemplifies SeDidik Sarawak’s dedication to lifelong learning and professional development. As they move forward in their careers, they carry with them the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond.”

During the convocation ceremony at Sarawak Skills on March 2, three individuals successfully completed Level 3 in Care Management and Early Childhood Development Education, with an additional 29 completing Level 4 in Early Childhood Care and Development Supervision.

The programmes aim to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge in early childhood education. Participants underwent rigorous training and practical experience for Level 3 over three months and Level 4 over four months.

Also present were chief financial officer of Sarawak Skills Mohd Asri Abdullah, representing executive director of Sarawak Skills Hallman Sabri, and general manager of SeDidik Sarawak Ayub Dahari.
