KUCHING: A total of 34 applicants received their offer letters from Spektra Permata Housing (RSP) in Lundu and Sematan.
“The RSP Lundu and Sematan was announced by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg during the Tanjung Datu by-election in Feb 2017,” said Tanjung Datu assemblyman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu.
“The project was completed in four years — RSP Lundu was completed in Aug 2020 and RSP Sematan was completed in Oct 2020.
“This is a special housing programme for the low-income group (B40) and the middle income group (M40),” she said.
She said this when met after presenting the offer letters to the 25 RSP applicants at Mahligai Gading Lundu multipurpose hall and another nine applicants at Sematan sub-district office last Wednesday.
Jamilah said the ‘on stilt’ type housing is fully equipped with the needed facilities including water supply and electricity.
In a separate statement by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), it said 26 units of RSP Lundu was completed in Aug 2020.
“RSP Lundu is situated 1.5km from Lundu town and was built following a village extension scheme programme.
“RSP Sematan is located 2km away from Sematan town where 25 units were built under a village extension scheme programme and was completed in Oct 2020,” it said.
It added that the houses are 820 square foot in area built on 500 square metre of land for each house.
