354 new Covid-19 cases recorded in latest report

KUCHING: Sarawak recorded 354 new Covid-19 cases during Epid (epidemiological) Week 25, a slight increase from Epid Week 24’s 325 cases.

According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee’s (SDMC) weekly report on Monday (June 27), Kuching remained the state’s most affected district during Epid Weeks 25 and 24, with 97 and 104 cases respectively.

In Epid Week 25, Sibu (55); Miri (62), Bintulu (37), Serian (15) and Samarahan (13) were among the districts that saw double-digit cases.

The remaining districts with zero cases in Epid Week 25 were Pakan, Telang Usan, Pusa, Tanjung Manis and Matu.

This brought the cumulative cases to 307,671 in Epid Week 25 from 307,317 in Epid Week 24.

Meanwhile, no deaths were recorded in Week 25 while the week prior recorded one death from Sibu.
